Artificial Intelligence has become deeply integrated into contemporary social, economic, educational, commercial, and cultural life, transforming the ways individuals work, communicate, consume information, and make decisions. This article examines the expanding influence of AI and the ethical concerns emerging from its increasing integration into everyday life. While AI offers significant benefits through improved efficiency, predictive analysis, personalized services, innovation, and enhanced decision making, its growing ability to anticipate and influence human preferences raises important questions about autonomy and individual choice. Algorithmic systems increasingly shape consumption patterns, media preferences, communication, and social behaviour through data driven recommendations and targeted content. The article further explores concerns relating to algorithmic bias, stereotyping, privacy, surveillance, data mining, copyright, manipulation, and the misuse of personal information. The interaction between AI, social media, and commercial platforms can intensify existing inequalities and influence perceptions, preferences, and beliefs. These developments highlight the need for greater transparency, accountability, fairness, inclusivity, and protection of personal data. The article argues that AI development should remain human centred and prioritize the wellbeing, rights, and autonomy of users rather than purely commercial objectives. Developers, researchers, industries, academic institutions, governments, and civil society all have an important role in establishing ethical safeguards and responsible practices. Strong monitoring mechanisms, ethical oversight, digital literacy, and institutional accountability are essential to ensure that AI remains a tool for human advancement rather than a mechanism for exploitation, manipulation, or exclusion.

Sanjay Kumar Agrawal
9/28/2018
pp. 80-96

Development administration has evolved as a branch of public administration and is primarily concerned with the governments and administration of developing countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America which emerged after the second world war. It focuses on developing the activities of governments to bring change especially towards achieving progression in social, economic and political fields. Development administration actually puts forward any social or political system and structure on the path of development. It is also concernedwith well organised, integrated and directed efforts of national governments to bring socio-economic progress, welfare and well-being of people at large. To understand development administration, this paper discusses both 'Administration ' and 'Development' which are wide-ranging terms and highlights that the scope of 'development administration' is equally wide. After having analyzed the scope and subject matter of development administration, the objective of development administration is described here. The basic objective of development administration is to understand the administrative problems related to development which in turn creates various impediments in the way of development. These impediments include poverty, illiteracy, population increase, resource crunch, environmental protection, food production, energy crisis, deterioration of human environment, decrease of middle class, absence of national unity, decrease in per capita income etc. Further this paper also indicates various features for success of development administration and its usefulness to bring fruitful and satisfactory results by removing bottlenecks and impediments related to development.
